Scot represents individuals and business organizations in general corporate and business matters with an emphasis on corporate and securities transactions, business formations, mergers and acquisitions, and complex commercial, business and securities litigation and dispute resolutions.  As part of his practice, Scot helps clients form start-up and closely-held business enterprises such as partnerships, corporations, limited liability companies, and various investment funds for private-offering securities investments, such as general and limited partnerships in connection with individual and syndicated private-placements; he helps clients merge and acquire business entities on the sale and purchase sides, including stock, asset, and combination sales and purchase; and he helps clients with various consumer and commercial transactions.  Scot also represents clients in various business and commercial litigation matters, state and federal administrative proceedings, and state and federal enforcement actions.

Scot read history and government at the University of Texas at Austin and took his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi national honors society.  He is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas and before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
